    We've known about this for a while. But I didn't see a thread for this.

    So this takes place 12 years before the events of the first Gears of War. The main character is Gabriel Diaz, the father of current Gears protagonist Kait Diaz and a COG war hero.

    I guess in many ways, this could be viewed as the Halo Wars Of the franchise.

    Comes out April 28th.
