Mine had that issue too. I just need to force it a bit harder than Starscream or it won't be flush. Otherwise it's fine.

I had that problem on my Botcon AM Thundercracker. If you just loosen the screws a little bit on the nose cone section (not much), it allows everything to transform properly.

I had that issue as well. Seems to be a common one.

Others ways to fix this without loosening screws as it seems to be the pin that is supposed to be tucked under the nose is catching.

    1) File down the pin on the side it is catching - it's easy to see which side is catching as there will be scrape marks on one side of the hollewed out nosecone.
    2) Use an xacto knife to hollow out the underside of the nose a touch more, again the side that's catching - that's what I ended up doing.

Both those work really well IMHO.

Had that with my G2 Ramjet. I simply used excessive force.

Yep, I had this issue with T'Cracker. Excessive force is the way to go!

Well I had an extra one that had a QC issue. It had stress marks on the right elbow and ankle where the pins were forced in the wrong angle :| Only affected the transformation on the ankle part and thats it.

I had this issue with mine. I scrapped off some extra plastic on the beam that the cockpit transforms on. I also loosen the cockpit a half turn. After that I haven't had a problem.

For the OP's problem with the chest sitting flush.

There's a screw underneah when the nosee folds down... tighten that, and it should be fine.

I didin't even know about this trick until I got the third party coronation set for Classics SS. They put it in the instructions to do it.

This should do it. I did it with one of my Acid Storms.

its a screw? looked like a hingejoint ... but yeah after some force it works just fine now, though it will likely spend all its time in robot-mode.

    soo ...

    thanks everyone!

Some Future polish might fix that up a bit but other than that, I don't think so.

I have that issue to but it doesn't really bother me as the wing doesn't sag and I not really "playing" with him.

May the excessive force be with you!

Another issue with this figure I discovered is that it makes my V1 Classics Starscream's paint apps look second rate :(
