Here’s a 360 video showing the finished/painted resculpted face plate. Also painted a little sliver accents on his ears. I’m happy the way it came up...has more of an “Optimus Prime” fulled out face plate for me.

With the body. Still need to finish painting the dress-up kit. Once that’s done I’ll follow up with a full body reveal :)

I tried using the tape method to tighten the hips by wrapping the post with a piece, but unfortunately the tape adds just barely too much thickness and gets pushed away when I try to reassemble. Anyone know of a solution to this? I wanted to use something more permanent than floor polish. But I’m not aware of tape that’s thinner than the standard stuff. So I might have to use floor polish after all

I add a bit of glue to the large slot hole (where it pegs) to increased the resistance/tighten......which works.

it worked so well that the tiny peg couldn’t keep the two halves together even after screwed together. When you rotate the leg out, the halves begin to split/flex and a gap is visible. The legs already does it anyways (It’s a flaw of the design) that the tiny peg can’t hold that cover together. Anyways, I end up just gluing the cover together and now the joint is tight and the cover doesn’t split.

Did you just coat the holes and let them dry, and then inserted the peg?

Yup.....but start with the tiniest/tiniest amount, let dry and test fit. And add as needed.

I sold mine to @Hexatron, so I no longer have a second copy. But my first copy is still chilling proudly with your shoulder upgrades :D  Still working off/on on making mine nontransforming, almost done. When it is, it’ll be glorious

Do they have a website still? I can’t find one. Wondering where Nemesis will be available.

Don't recall them ever having a website, really. They haven't posted on Facebook in about 3 years last I checked, and even their Weibo has gone fairly ignored for about as long, except for occasional updates on their movie Grimlock release.

Huh. Interesting. Would be cool if they reissued their original prime with the new modifications though.

Yeah I must have dreamt they had or something. Interesting, I wonder where they’ll release him.

I really hope they don’t stop at one limited repaint of an improved Ultra Maxmas, because I’d buy that figure again in any colour.

This design have a lot of figure. Tbh, i think it look bad, too much kibble, the design i mean.

One thing i don't get is, in the latter in the IDW comic (around robot in disguise or so) there is a design, which is basically this design, but fixed. Why most of figure of this guys didn't based on it instead ? the newer version have rip off ugly kibble in both mode. So basically, a upgrade design

Interested to see what improvements they’ve made since the original Ultra Maxmas still has a transformation and QC that gives me nightmares

It looks pretty much the same, so I'd assume the transformation is more or less the same too, and that they mostly worked on QC and making it a more durable figure. Like maybe they put some die-cast bits in the more easy to break joints and such.

I will keep an eye on this. I have the original release and their Prowl too. If they cna do some improvements and start making more figures, I'd be game for some good MP-size IDW transformers.
