The collectors market has gravitated largely to MP scale.
There is a chug version of this that was already made, and he is pretty awesome.

To duplicate an already created project and then design it outside of the niche which would yield the highest gross is not a good business decision

Company's follow the money. For the record, that is not greed, that is very basic supply and demand economics.

 

coz there us already the TW Orion and the CW Optimus at chug scale

 

Not a fan of IDW, but those long legs and no monkey arms is def am aesthetic win over mp10.

 

That might count with the Beelzeboss or SND add-ons.

so this looks nice, but i probably won't get it. as for why mp size? i think most collectors are getting used to having larger and more detailed quality pieces in their collection...so its nice that it can scale with mp stuff for "fill ins" and "cross universe collector's canon" etc. having it "scale" with CHUG doens't make sense anymore as there is no dominant CHUG scale anymore. that being said....this is a "CHUG" aesthetic....and it looks really good. if i'm a non mp collector collecting chugs, and 3p non g1 salvish stufff...i'd be all over this. as is i might even do it....

 

Oh yes this is so required! I'm still bummed that it hasn't been translated to toy form at least in the 3rd party market.

 

Cool, but I don't need these as MP scaled figures. And if they do a Stealth Megatron, he'd be enormous.

These protos don't even look like they transform... must be an early stage?

I think it's been confirmed that they'd be around Leader class size in the thread so I don't think you'd have to worry too much about that.

 

It looks great but I love my TW Prime I don't need this.

 

That Prime is looking pretty sweet.

 

I don't even read the comics, and even I think this looks like it could be awesome. Threw this together. While I don't collect IDW stuff and so will pass, I'm excited for comic fans who have felt neglected in the MP scene.

He certainly has more personality than Orion. I wish he was a bit smaller so I could have him be my primary Optimus, but I'm holding out hope for something at Toy Fair.

 

Nice! I never liked Orion, and it seems like Beezlebub or whatever his name is won't ever get around to releasing the upgrade kit for CW Prime. This might be great, if they pull off the truck mode! Problem is I don't like their Shuraking figures at all so hopefully there's a different aesthetic to the finished product here,
