Merry Christmas Garry and David. This brought a smile to me for the first time since October. I lost my grandson to a car hitting him.
He was learning and loving Beast Wars. A total of 3 generations now. I think you two should do other holidays. What you up to Megs New Years Eve? Here comes comes Cheetor with his tail ect.

Even then I'd taker another Prime/Megatron rivalry ala the UT. Some people forget that aside from the small divergence with RID01 they were *the* voices of those characters running almost one after the other from Beast Wars right until the end of Cybertron before Cullen came back starting with the first movie.

 

As much as I love Beast Wars and seeing these two verbally spar as Primal and Megatron, I think it’d be kinda fun to see them join forces as Armada and Animated Optimus Prime for a song. Have they done that? Legacy!

Holy crap, I completely forgot that Garry voiced G1 Megs in Beast Wars. Yes! Turn the whole thing on its head.

 

Thank you (three) so so much for this. It's kind of embarassing how much I'm reacting to this one.

The allusions to plot-specifics from his character's journey (not just surface-level "zingers" that would be so much easier for filling in a song) show a real depth of appreciation for the role, and the fans.

It's not just nostalgia, and no disrespect for Mr. Perlman, but GC would have been stellar to have back as Primal for RotB. There's a convincing candor to his voice, a sort of glimpse of empathetic understanding behind a firm but unaggressive resolve. My wife loves Stargate SG-1, and I even heard it in his portrayal of Chekov.

Optimus Primal is my children's godfather... "god-bot-er"?

As others have said, feels like the first honest smile in a while. And as Mr. Chalk himself said in the video, it IS a difficult season this year (for my family at least) but we WILL get through it.

A couple years ago, Kaye did a Holiday message and was changing his voice for every line with each of his characters. "Animated" Prime chief among them but I don't think he used his Treize voice.
