Hey everyone, life's been super busy the last few days but I did finish painting Garnetron and I took some nice pictures in a more professionally lit room. I'm really happy with how she turned out! I put a few "easter eggs" in the paint apps here and there as well. Sorry I couldn't get these pics up here sooner

I am in love with this set! My own has just arrived and I'm curious, what paints did you use for your Garnetron?

 

Great to hear! I'm glad you're happy with it! I actually didn't use anything too special to paint it. I just used acrylic paints I found at Walmart. I got gloss flat colors and a few colors from the metallic line. The colors were a lot of mixing until I got a good color match, and I tried to mix enough of each color to paint all my parts that would have that color at a time, so I wouldn't have to color match to previous batches because that's harder. My process was usually to paint the first one or two coats very thin and watered down to help the next coat stick. Then after it looked done I gave it a thin coat of floor polish to protect it, you could use top coat or maybe even clear nail polish as well. Just be careful about painting joints, the paint there rubs off easy.

That change was made a while back. Pearl will be made out of Moonracer.

 

Will Stormclash/Alpha Bravo still be used for Peridot and will the same go for Streetwise/Dustup for Amethyst? I’m planing on buying the molds to make this combiner set and I wanna make sure I’m getting the right ones.

 

I would say Rook would make a better amethyst.

 

How about Rook for Bismuth and Amethyst could use Blackjack with an adapter to let her connect to the combiner chest?
