    There's an age old fan debate it seems. Some people hate the high pitched voice of Frank Welker's Galvatron, and yet some people love it because it's much more well known from many episodes featuring his version. However many also like Leonard Nimoy's Galvatron for being deeper and more menacing as well as being the first ever incarnation of the character fresh off of Unicron's reformatting.


    Frank Welker made him insane and maniacal, but Leonard Nimoy's voice created him as a calculated and menacing warlord.

    I ask you, which do you like better, Leonard Nimoy's Galvatron or Frank Welker's Galvatron and why?

    I agree with PP. I like Leanoard Nimoy's voice better.

    Welker is a fantastic voice actor, but I think Nimoy was able to bring a more sinister tone to Galvatron, while Welker's just sounded like a whiny nutter.

    He's not. Frank Welker recorded the lines for season 3 before the movie was made.

    I prefer Welker, that maniac :D

    Nimoy, I preferred the colder, more menacing Galvatron to Welker's raspier interpretation.

    I like them both. Each voice actor matched Galvatron's mental state perfectly.

    Nimoy was fine when Galvatron had his marbles. Welker was good for when he lost them.

    Galvatron from the episode The Ultimate Weapon was the best that Welker did for him in season three. He wasn't insane or maniacal there.

    Nimoy's Galvatron, easily. Welker's Galvatron was just annoying.

    So much more sinister.

    Crazy Welker Galvatron was entertaining, but season 3 would have been much more entertaining if a sane Galvatron was leading Decepticons.

    I liked Nimoy's Galvatron better. Welker's whiny Galvatron voice reminded me of some of his Hanna Barbara stuff.

    How did that happen? They (being Peter and Frank) didn't even know that Optimus and Megatron were being replaced until they started voicing the script for the movie.

    And to stay on topic, Nimoy ftw!
