I hardly think humans at ksi had energon.... so how do you think this frankesteins are moving? It would be kind of ironic if the Big Galvatron needs gas lol.

He straight up ate Optimus's Energon Blade from the first trilogy. Pretty sure that'll keep him full for a while.

Wind blows through that hole in his chest and spins a turbine. He is wind powered.

I've said this many, many times. The hole in Galvatron's chest is a reactor/ power generator.

They didn't design it that way originally, so it doesn't rely on it's energy even if it's indeed a reactor which I doubt.

The Humans did not design Galvatron; Megatron did, via his thoughts. The hole is a reactor. If it is not, why does it rotate and glow orange (i.e. produce heat)?

It doesn't actually glow, it's made from very shiny orange metal, and it rotates because it's a weapon, it shreds.

Yeah, I would think if Galvatron designed and built a completely new form of power generation, that would raise a lot more red flags than just his appearance?

No. It glows orange as a result of producing heat (think of a hot iron) and its rotation is a part of the process via which it powers Galvatron.

As for Optimus' sword, it wasn't shredded but was melted.

I take it back; you're right. In the scene in which Galvatron is only partially constructed, the hole isn't rotating but it's still orange; so the color obviously isn't produced by heat, but is the color of the metal itself. Also, in the scene in which Galvatron pulls Optimus' sword into the hole, you can hear the sound of it being shredded.

    EDIT:

However, it does actually glow when Galvatron is activated. So, it does produce heat. It's probably both a reactor and a shredder.

Well Galvatron isn't the same type of transformers as the others are. He is now sentient but because of the way he was built runs off a different power source than the others

I think Megatron hacked into the system to changed his face only (Joshua only complain about Galvatron's face), Joshua assissant was to one who designed the "black hole" as he said it was cool. But whatever it is or who designed it, Galvatron would still be well funtioned with or without it like Stinger and the other drones do
