Admittedly I am not too excited about the predictable origin of Galvatron - a reincarnation of Megatron (or Sentinel Prime). Nor am I interested in Galvatron being "man-made" (as in built from the ground up by humans more advanced than us). I would be more interested if movie Galvatron shared a similar history with IDW Galvatron. For example, Galvatron was ancient warrior that was found by the humans, dug up and rebuilt to be a drone. Thoughts?
decent.. but i like the way the movie is taking it a bit better.. assuming galvatron actually gains sentience.. it'd be nice if whoever lockdowns employers are, are the ones who provide galvatron with sentience.
yet with Galvatron as ancient cybertronian you can make a connection with him and the Dinobots, kinda like how in some TF lore, Shockwave and the Dinobots had a long history.
We don't know that Megatron was rebuilt into a drone at all. Galvatron may not have anything to do with Megs.
It's weird how in ROTF Megatron looked almost identical to Galvatron and in AOE he's man made and transforms into a truck.
yeah.. the only similar things are the colors. maybe he means dotm. but in that case.. he'd still be wrong. different colors.. different overall look.
I think its his face thats doing it for most people as yes there is nothing else megs about galvatron moreover its his eyes that seem to have been grafted from megs so yes good theory and could be just as much the reality of galvs as any of the other theories!
I think it would be great if Galvatron was his own character, dug up by the humans and had a relationship with the Dinobots. As someone else said much like Shockwave and the Dinobots in Marvel Comics. Galvatron could be re-activated with something from Sentinel instead of Megatron, making him insane as in the G1 Cartoons. Megatron could still exist and potentially return one more time as he did in Animated, but somehow find some sort of redemption or final death. Sacrifice himself for the good of Cybertron. Galvatron vs Megatron would be amazing. Bad turning good usually makes for a good story.
We still don’t know how Galvatron is built in the film and if he does consist of parts from Megatron. We only have images of him on the table in the trailer but nobody adding anything to the torso from either Megatron or Sentinel, I hope he maybe dug up and found and upgraded using parts from either Sentinel or Megs so it maybe like a Frankenstein sort of effect for him and when he comes alive this acts as a reason to him going insane because he is from different parts of transformers all conflicting against each other in his body and mind.
I like to think the idea of Galvatron gaining his own semblance of life would be a great 'Epic Fail' on the part of the idiot fleshlings that say, 'we don't need Autobots, we can make our own Transformers that will obey us! Nyah!'
Oh, given the last three films, there's a lot of human stupidity: "Giant alien robots want to kill us all, and we have good guy robots that will fight for us? GET EM OUTTA HERE!! We can't depend on robots on our side! We have all our military might to protect us!"
