So from what I hear, Galvatron doesnt have much of a role in this film. What I have heard about him I really like, however. It gets me pumped for possible sequels. I have been reading that a lot of people are disappointed in the spoilers about Galvatron that they have been reading: that he doesnt have much screen time and that he is barely developed and barely does anything. I also like that this is true...mainly because the focus should be on Lockdown. Are their others that feel this way? Or am I the only one? Your thoughts?
I love his role in this film. It's good to have Megatron back. This movie was his most successful movie because in TF 1 and 3 he was killed and in TF 2 he was injured. Now, he gets away with a brand new body unscathed. With OP gone, Galvatron has his options open. He did not do much this movie, but he and Lockdown are some of my favorite villains.
I agree, I'm not sure why people want more focus on Galvatron when he's just Megatron reborn, despite that fact, he's going to return anyways. In all probability, he'll get the focus in the next sequel, this movie was just an introduction to him.
I just have 1 question about Galvatron and I'm done hearing about him until I see the movie. What kind of Frank Welker voice is he?
From recent reviews, I heard he has a raspy voice, but unlike G1 Megatron. However you can definitely tell it's Frank Welker.
Hopefully he chages his alt mode, makes some changes so he is less human built etc, Megs did find humans disgusting, and to be in a body built by one i'm surprised he didn't rip himself apart I'm hoping for an aerial mode, but i suppose we will have to wait and see, undoubtedly he will still have his freightliner mode. Also, does he actually refer to himself as Galvatron? Or is that just the name the Humans gave him? If he is in fact megatron reborn surely he wouldn't want the human name given to him
From what I'm hearing I like it, using him as more of a setup villan rather than the main keeps him from having to get his ass handed to him like Megs has been so he can apppear a legitimate threat while not stealing the spotlight from Lockdown.
This might be a wild guess but I guess he wants to keep himself intact until he finds original body haha. I too hope he changes his entire look and gain some purple accents, most importantly, I want him to get rid of that untransformer-like colossal orange cavity. Nonetheless don't worry, Hasbro will end up changing him no matter what, those toys have to sell somehow you know.
I feel you phrased this badly so going to essentially re-work this; What you've heard is that it Spoiler leaves him alive and in that respect it is setting him up for sequels. However, from what I've heard everything else is done wrongly. He's not given character development, has a fairly minor role in the film and only has one fight with Optimus in which he gets his ass beaten. That isn't really setting him up as a good villain or even a recurring villain when he has less character development than the minor characters in the prior films. You don't like the lack of character development - you just feel that a movie is unable to multitask and focus on both while portraying Lockdown as the main villain. For some odd reason you feel that more than one character cannot have character development and focus - however that is not the case with films. The film shouldn't have to choose whether it focuses or character development to one character or the other - as a good film can handle giving both character development. Even Batman & Robin did this more effectively than what I've been hearing from the movie - choosing to essentially side-line Galvatron for the sake of focusing on Lockdown. The truth you'd have to be really terrible at your job to make an almost 3 hour film that doesn't given its characters enough focus or character development. It could have easily given Galvatron more character development and focus - especially with what I've been hearing about an hour of the film essentially being pointless. This is especially the case if he is being set-up for another film - as we have nothing of substance about the character. What are his goals? What is he trying to do? From what we've been told from the spoiler threads he has no motivation and no logical character arc in the film. As such given the apparently bad character development and lack of focus we have nothing of substance to make us want to see the character return other than nostalgia. -------- In short; - If what I've read is true about Galvatron then he will be a massive disappointment in the film contributing little of substance and Spoiler cowardly escaping , essentially making the entire film just set-up for TF5. Which is not enough to keep me interested as Sequel bait doesn't work when characters are badly developed or non-existent. - While the focus on Lockdown may be a good thing Spoiler seeing as they kill him off. The fact is simply that they could have given Galvatron more focus in an almost 3 hour film, especially when a lot of critics have referred to the film as drawn-out and dull.
I think itd be cool since Optimus said that he didnt have a Spoiler soul that It would be the driving force behind Galvatron's decisions to get one back. I also think its cool that he transforms like Stinger. :3
well according to early footage at cinema con the humans call him "The Avatron" but recent spoi when he breaks free from control he says with pride "I AM GALVATRON!" and he just takes off to find the factory of man made transformers who he hacks into and reprograms into obeying him
I would love to see galvatron go mad from seeing flashbacks of what Optimus did to him at the end of Dark of the Moon. It would be great to go completly phsychotic, and sorta haunt Optimus by eliminating autobots because he didn't show Megatron mercy so he figured he doesn't have to either. If done correctly it would show good chemistry of Galvatron.
So they rehashed the scene from the first film? That is lazy and dumb if true. - Humans call Decepticon leader something different - Decepticon leader escapes proclaiming his name - Decepticon leader plans to use Earth's technology against them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmYASPF_3MI
