Huh. I thought they already had? Not that I'm begrudging this news. I used to love this show. I can still sing bits of the themesong. :D

My fave is Shane Gooseman! (hope I remember his name correctly). His ability to morph into other aliens for attack and defense was particularly cool! :)

I was pretty pleased to hear about this myself. Adding this to Jayce and the wheeled warriors, vehicle Voltron and GoLion 2008 is shaping up to be a good year for 80's cartoons. With the Anime market having problems lately maybe we will see more US properties picking up some of the slack. There are still a ton of shows on my wants list yet to see DVD releases in R1. Who knows, maybe there will be some growth with Blu-ray as well.

Although, everytime a new shows gets annoynced I'm a bit disapointed that it's not the one show I want the most.... Mighty Orbots. It's kind of the same feeling I have with Superfriends, they keep coming out with sets, but what I want most is the orginal '72 (?) series. With Super Powers wraped/or wraping up and the New SUperfriends Hour being released, all that will be left is the '72 series.

Other shows I'm dieing to see on dvd....(full series by the way)

    Japanese Transformers Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory
Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs
    Heathcliff
    Spiderman and his amazing friends
    Pole Possition
    Inhumanoids (a much better release)
GI Joe (full release, or just the last half of season 2)
    Visionaries
    Starcom
    Gobots (don't judge me)
    The Real Ghostbusters
    Clue Club
    Thundarr
SilverHawks (which apears to be in the works. YAY!)
    TigerSharks
    Bionic Six
    Robitix
Pryde of the X-men (single episode pilot for X-men, final Sunbow production I believe)
Ultraman the adventure begins (hanna barbara/toei(?))
    Ring Raiders
    GI Joe (dic)
    Herculoids
    Wheelie and the chopper bunch
    Pac-man

I liked Doc and the cybersteeds best myself...horses being one of the few 'normal' things I was ever interested in! :D  I don't for the life of me remember the fourth horse's name, tho.

There's nothing more kick-ass then singing your own theme song.

You can cross that first one off your list, though looks like It's going out of print, so maybe another reissue is in order.

Oh this was the weird show about a cowboy and a hussar on robotic horses in spaaaace? Or was that Saber Rider? I vaguely recall seeing it in the 80ies but I confuse these two (due to both having robot horses)But I always thought it was anime. Or just animated in Japan?

Galaxy rangers bears some resemblance with Saber rider with the space western theme.

A little fun fact about Saber Rider. Four of the main characters voice actors will go on to do the voices for the original TMNT series:

    Top Sword-Rob Paulsen Raphael
    Fireball- Pat Fraley- Krang
    Colt- Townsend Cullman- Michaelangilo
    Pat Musik- April- Mona Lisa
