I went out to lunch and when I got home there he was on my doorstep waiting to be opened.
Man, that toy is teh HAWTNESS! I can't wait to get the Cybertron version later this month.
Nice, I just scored one for $30. Mine should be here tomorrow, so this helps build the excitement.
Man I so want that toy. If we are not getting Soundblaster repaint from Hasbro I'd probably buy 2 cuz it just rocks in both modes.
Note: Takara missed a step in the instructions. His head can sit lower, using the double-jointed hinge that his neck plate sits on.
Also, I can't tell from your pictures if your jet mode is twisted or not. Takara also screwed up the instructions there, and if you're following the pics to figure out how the arms are oriented, you're going to wind up with a twisted wreck of a vehicle mode.
Yeah I noticed that when I was transforming him about the head. He will stay in his Robot mode for a long time as that is how I display my TFs so having that twisted alt mode problem wont be an issue but thanx for the heads up.
Nice haul, can't wait to pick mine up at Target.
nor can i man.. I want one now...
Nice pick up. I got to get one myself.
I sure hope that Hasbro makes him... originally, I'd hoped they'd do a slight remold and make him blaster, but I really hate the way the GF Soundblaster's clear parts turned out, they aren't red at all
Looks like you got the hip misalignment too on your Soundwave there...
Unless you're one of the unlucky ones who got the hinge pin driven through at an odd angle, Soundwave's hip misalignment is a myth. Takara's instructions are just FUBAR.
Here's the trick: when transforming the arms back to vehicle mode, don't do it like they tell you in the instructions, with the left arm resting on top of the right shoulderpad. Instead, transform them so that the metal rivets in the shoulders are back-to-back, so that the left shoulder is resting on the grey hinge panel of the right. Note that in this case, the left arm hinge won't sit flat, but will "bulge" upwards a bit. That's normal and perfectly fine.
If done right, the vehicle mode will be nice and straight.
That would be me... Mine has the hinge pin at an angle...
I just checked and everything works fine with his hips. Ohh and mx-01 archon thanx on that Transforming advice I will use that for sure.
Where did you snag one for $30? I can't even find the guy below $50, he's sold out mostly!
