Ok so I was inspired to get off my butt and work on the by Joey Santana's Cyber Megatron work. I used his idea of using a Combiner Wars hand and used that to extend the torso, added wrist swivel, upper bicep swivels and used the turret from Cybertron Unicron to mount on his shoulder like the G2 version. He was also made to match MP10V and is now the proper size. I haven't decided if I'm going to paint him full G2 colors yet or not, he looks great as is. I may later add a thigh swivel but not a priority. Removing the ratchet joint in the thigh area helps him have more natural poses, had to thicken it with Future so it would move by friction. Will eaither paint this all G2 or go full G1 and add more red, help me decide....All in all he works great for my needs. Hope you all enjoy!
OK you just made my next purchase an easy one . I have mp10v and that Megatron is a perfect scale next to him.
He is now, I did a torso extension to add a little height to him. He's a decent size out of the box, but comes up to just over Prime's chin without the mods. Mp10V is awesome, I can't stress that enough. Everyone should buy that figure
Could always go the purple "Combat Hero" look but that might be a bit goofy... maybe even the cancelled gray with the tiger stripe pattern.... Anyone have a good idea for a good military green spray? I'm having a hell of a time finding a good green spray in an olive drab kind of color that isn't enamel (I HATE enamel paints).
This is looking amazing! I love the CW hand piece you adapted as torso, looks pretty natural. Biceps swivel look great and I can imagine all you been through to make it work right, I still have some small cuts in my thumb from trying to cut that small narrowed areas where connectors go. I will update some pictures later. Amazing. If I were you I'd go all green on this bad boy, the shoulder mounted cannon and head definitely screams G2 Megatron.
Can you elaborate on the CW hand mod? I see the piece, but don't see the connection. With the piece added, how does it scale with Classics Optimus? I won't buy knock-offs, so I'll be using that one as my CHUG Optimus.
Looks awesome! I wonder if you can take some more detailed photos of the torso nad what about the hands and the head? Where did you get them from? Thnaks for your reply
