For those going with the spray paint route, may I recommend Tamiya for paints, it is a bit on the expensive side, but it's almost foolproof for beginners and will end up a lot cleaner than hardware sprays. Small details are hand-painted, like the eyes, teeth, and bullets (for the battle damaged helmet). I attached my colour suggestions. Make sure you buy TS and not PS. French blue would be the slightly darker alternative for Light Blue. Primer is recommended.

These look awesome, but I don’t have a printer, and not the best painting skills, so around June would it be possible to order/purchase upgraded and painted Kingdom Galvatron and Earthrise Megatron head sculpts from you?

Also could you recommend any good printing services that would be willing to print the parts? Thanks

    Finally, an update!

After two very intense months, I'm starting to get my free time back. Thank you to anyone who has had to wait patiently. I'm still making my way through my PMs.

A few days ago, I managed to to publish the shoulder mount and barrel for G2 Megatron. This is a free download and optimised for FDM prints. Each may be printed in resin, however, I'd recommend the robustness of FDM prints if possible.

Also, just now, The G1 replacement head for Siege/Earthrise Megatron.

Both were pretty much ready to go in March. However, I had to drop everything for my increased duties. It's taken me a few days just to try and find the most up-to-date versions.

neurowing has some great images of his fantastic Earthrise repaint. You'll have to put up with boring Siege from me.

I swear, I'll have a blue version soon enough.

Awesome stuff there! :thumb  And great work on the teeth.

We can chat in PM, but that said; these are made to be easy to paint so if you can find a reliable printer, it would save you heaps to do it yourself.

I haven't tried it yet, but I wouldn't have much confidence in the fit of the parts, even if they looked alright.

You can just use Tamiya Neutral Grey for the helmet to match unpainted Siege or ER Plastic body. Tamiya Light Grey for the face. 20220615_110636.jpg

For some reason, I thought this was the Earthrise model. It must be the colours... love it.

And, just because, here's some photos from today.

These are looking great, and I'm stoked for the cannon update, but regarding the heads... has anyone had any issues with printing?

I bought the files and gave them to my friend, who has an Anycubic Photon, to print for me. He ran the files through his slicer (Lychee) and printed them, but none of the faces lined up with the helmet/eyes. The tab on the face that slots into the helmet was too low, and the eye sockets were a hair too high and narrow. I tried to make due with what I had, but all the filing and sanding I was doing only confirmed that I'd have to sacrifice face-swapping to make just one head fit. I asked him if he had altered any of the parameters before printing, but he said he left everything untouched.

I saw the disclaimer about using FDM for the cannon parts, but I didn't think the type of printer would effect things that much. Any advice?

A photo would be great if possible, but I suspect the parts may have had insufficient support, which has lead to malformation in shape. (I doubt I uploaded the wrong files, but I'll check. Edit: they look good).

This is typically how I'd orient and support my pieces.

    g1megs24.jpg

Each face should be fixed to the block, (part with the eyes and joint socket), which then slides into the base of the helmet.
