This started out as a minor touch up of YOTH Prime, I saw an awesome custom by another user of G2 primes trailer and decided to roll with it. I haven't painted the trailer insides yet as I intend to paint it terracotta or orange like the ark in g1, but I painted the clear blue pieces on the command deck

I couldn't get the axe to dye clear orange, so I painted it aluminium silver and drybrushed with chrome to add a metallic look.

    UPDATE: 18/8/14
I decided to keep it a bit simpler for now and scrapped the backpack idea, but yoth has had a full treatment removing his back parts now.

    I dismantled the head

added a repro sticker to the left shoulder and removed the yoth symbol from the right (FYI the autobot symbol that came with Hasbro rodimus is perfect).

I painted the centre head piece and face

the black parts of his torso either side of the grill were a little tricky to remove so I painted them with the body leaning backwards
    like this

I removed the shoulders and forearms to paint the bicep areas.

I also painted the shin grills
    [IMG]

the red bits on the waist/groin area were carefully painted a dull metallic silver with a fine yellow top coat added later.

the axe is not yet done but has had a silver undercoat, a yellow base coat and a few dry brush tests with orange and terracotta paints.

I love this Crafty mate, YOTH looks much better, and that trailer is absolutely awesome.
Your idea of painting the inside of the trailer to match the colour of the ark is inspired!
I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks Steve, I really wasn't gonna touch it...... but I'm a creature of habit.

Yep I'm gonna be doing that later, and removing the yoth logo too.

I hadn't given it much thought, it doesn't really bother me.

I keep thinking about grabbing this guy up to do this exact custom, as well as sanding and/or puttying over the G1 Autobot insignia to replace it with a G2 insignia, as well as the massive "OPTIMUS" that was on each side of the originals trailer, which truly conveyed the subtlety of the G2 toyline, lol
