    It quite simply....Is insanely awesome
G1 was robots in disguise ,g2 was "robots in bright neon colors who don't feel like hiding at all"
The electronics on ramjet, prime, and megatron are so extensive
Some tfs shoot water and change color like zartan
    It is pure demented goodness

At first I considered collecting the G2 decoes of the Dinobot molds Newage made. But dissatisfied with the shade of blue on Newage G2 Grimlock I increasingly felt like collecting original G2 figures of Slag, Snarl, and Grimlock at an okay price should be possible.

And it is. I found a very servicable G2 Slag for a good price which I patched up a little and I found a junker G2 Snarl with a missing dino head, missing translucent wrist, and a loose as hell right arm.
I bought a ko G1 Snarl and after testing the limits of my customization skills - during which I learned that some flathead pins can be removed without heating up the pinhead (even knurled ones) if you give the other end a hit with an automatic pin punch and if you can wriggle the piece of plastic stuck on that end back and forth until it let's go of the pin.

Very happy with the result, even if it's not a purebred G2 figure now.

Now the hunt is on for a cheap G2 Grimlock :)
