Hi! I don't have the money for both G1 and Titan figures, so should i get G1 Scroponok and Metroplex, or Titans Return?

Well considering one doesn't exist yet and one is like five billion dollars, it comes down to: What do you collect? We can't make your decisions for you.

Would you be open to mixing and matching or is it a one or the other? You could get Scorponok and maybe some of the titanmasters or a deluxe or two to go with him.

Then don't spread yourself thin, focus on what matters to you and you don't stray from it or you'll run out of money hella fast.

I recently acquired g1 scorponok, and despite being roughly 30 years old, is still an overwhelming bot imo. As for metroplex, i prefer the g1 as well. Generations looks good, but also looks like a breeze might knock him over. Just my thoughts on this, never personally handled the generations one.

    Classics metroplex

    pros

    articulation
    size
    lights and sounds gimic
    detail

    cons

size (being to big if you cant stand a 2 feet tall tf)
floopy as hell, i have mine standing in front of my book shelf if he tumbles he will brake.

    g1 metroplex

    size is alright
    his transformation is fun

    cons

he doesnt make a big city
    bugger all articulation

let me play devils advocate here and suggest a 3rd options

    Transformers cybertron Metroplex

    ariticulation
    good scuplting
    solidly built
    awsome weapon
easy enough to fit in a shelf

    cons

he really doesnt turn into anything base wise...

    Classics scorp

Size im sure he will be big
he will probaly have better articulation then his g1 self

    cons

he could be a floopy mess

    3rd option

    transformers energon scorp

    he fits in a shelf
    he is heavly articulated
    hes well sculpted

    cons

dont move the parts that hold his shoulder joint to much

    g1

well i dont own him so i cant ring in here and i presumed on the classics one lol

I've had G1 Scorponok for 30 years and he's still one of my favourite toys.

Only thing I don't like about G1 Metroplex is he's too small. Looks great in all modes.

One thing I will say is Metroplex's waist can be fragile. I saw 4 of them break at the waist as a kid.

Buy a Generations Metroplex. The original G1 version is great but only really good for Legends-class and smaller figures.

For Scorponok, either option is viable. The G1 figure is the third tallest from G1 (Overlord stands about 2cm taller) and cuts an imposing even amongst the CHUG figures. The big question mark is what a Titans-class Generations Scorponok will eventually look like...and you might be waiting a couple years to boot.
