I read his response as "since they were never at your store, you can buy them online instead." which in 2019/2020 is a very valid response.

I haven't seen them in stock at the online store either. Out of Stock sure, but not in stock and not for that long.

Online isn't the be-all, cure-all for not being able to find shit in physical stores you know.

Target is better than WG,WM and GS when it comes to exclusives. Maybe no one cares for their exclusives but you can go in any Target and find their Marvel legend or Transformer exclusives. (Except Neca Turtles)

I don't get to go there often because its in a different city, but I will check next time I do. The last repros I saw there were the Casettes, Bumblebee and Outback. And the two latter was when we saw the Bumblebee movie.

    Thanks for the tip. :)

50 dollars? That is not only insane, it's STUPID.
These are too high. The original was 11.99 maybe...Soundwave was 50....and was way bigger....now Soundwave is 30 on clearance....tapes are 11.00....much better.
50 Astrotrain. Wait for clearance. I got Hot Rod for 5. Prime for 5. Starscream for 10. Just wait.

Oh, sorry for the confusion. We already own the Cassettes. I'm just saying they're the only ones I've seen semi-regularly at all. The rest of the repros disapprared from our shelves so quickly it wasn't funny and both the Constructicons and Sounders have been absolute no-shows.

I am hoping to find Blaster and his Cassettes easily when they get released though. I've been looking for one for my boyfriend.

Anywho, I wish you guys good luck finding him. I hope he's plentiful and every bit as awesome as he looks.

    But, they did go down.
    I got Devastator for 30...
Soundwave is on clearance in areas for 30, cassette's are 11...I got SS for 10...they all go down.

If you live in a place were their aren't alot of WMs in a area you may not want to drive for an hour for 2 WMs and find nothing. I live in a metro area were an hour drive I can hit up 3 Targets, 3 WMs and 4 GS.

Starscream is available RIGHT NOW at a discounted price. Prime was available for months at half price on the website.

This should be $30-$40 tops.  Hasbro and Walmart are really trying to milk the cow drop on these reissues.  They must realize by now that a lot of these reissues have been shelf-warming and then being clearanced out because of the high prices.  I\'m up for nostalgia, but for prices like these, I can give these a pass and just use my memory.  If you are all for movie accurate colors, then you have to get the e-hobby one.  But that one will come with a hefty price tag.

I wish Walmart would just stop stocking toys in areas where everything sits until it's clearanced. They were supposed to be logistics pros but they seem determined to get bottom dollar in those stores and bottom dollar from me online.

What I notice is certain WM would get a crap load of something while others get very little or none at all.

And Devy did get marked too. I remember trying to chase one down, but never had any luck.

Personally, I just think Astrotrain is going to go over like Hot Rod. The idea is great, but the demand is going to fall flat.

damn, this is my first time knowing about this.
Love that Hasbro was able to keep the inside package original with the cardboard back

But I dont know, $50 is a bit high for a figure that is similar to G1 Starscream at $35
hopefully Astrotrain is a shelf warmer and is clearanced for $35 or less, then I might reconsider

Huh, well, I'd be happy to find Starscream on sale here (Walmart.com doesn't deliver to Canada). Only Hot Rod and OP went on sale, here, and even then, not for very long.

I could be wrong, but I would imagine the vast majority of people that buy the reissues are adult collectors. I can't see any kid paying $50 for this rather than $50 for the new Siege Astrotrain. I would also wager that the vast majority of those adult collectors prefer accuracy over cosmetics. I'm not saying your preference is in any way invalid, but Hasbro will naturally release the product with the highest overall appeal.
