The website exists to talk about Transformers. That's the whole point of it. For your information, I will not be buying the toy and will be voting with my wallet. That doesn't mean that a discussion cannot or should not take place on what is a reasonable price to charge for a given item. Like, what would you prefer, have a news article posted and everyone just silently think to themselves about it? Or only allow people to shower the franchise with endless praise? What exactly is your preference or expectation of people on the forum?

I was hoping for gray, like the cartoon. Oh well. Looks like standard G1 toy colors. I already have a vintage one so I can pass.

Not complaining up and down that I personally don’t think the price is justified.

and I only join discussions on stuff I enjoy. Things I don’t like I just don’t bother because it’s not worth my time. Complaining constantly and looking for people who also share my negativity isn’t healthy at all. Again, self control.

Nice, now to sit back and let the stock build up til he's marked down to a lower price.

So, you want everyone to share your outlook on what is and is not a valuable expenditure of their time? Critiquing something is not spreading negativity, but expressing an observation. You're also implying that I complain constantly, which is far from true. I generally take a positive stance on the topics that are shared here. The more you tell me, the more it seems you just want everyone to agree with your take on things or just shut up, which is, dare I say, not healthy.

Hey, this one has the proper wheel, rod, and counterweight configuration as the real-life loco does. :D

We knew. He won an online vote for next reissue a ways back.

Octane would be great. I have to wonder how many more molds are out there that they haven’t reissued before though. Non-repeats have been non-existent for years.
Who was the last one? Fort Max Encore 23 in 2013?

Holy shit! That's all I can say. Let's hope he gets decent distribution!

I wish the reissues used paint and decals to replace the stickers. Sure, that would technically make it not a reissue but it would be a lot better for everyone.

$50 _is_ a little steep but I don't think that's an attitude that'll serve people who want more reissues well. Businesses never learn the lesson of lowering prices. They just stop offering stuff that doesn't sell for what they want. TRU was amazingly bull-headed about ordering nine waves of reissues but they're gone now.

Echoing others that $50 for an Astrotrain is a touch much. I have gotten all the reissues thus far, but as often as you can stumble into a vintage astrotrain in great condition with gun for sub-$25, $50 on this doesn't do it for me for a box. Heck, I have some childhood Christmas ties to Astrotrain and still have the canadian box from the one I got while visiting relatives for Christmas as a kid, but will wait for $35 to get a fresh new one (sadly by then the boxes will probably be banged around).

Except for the people who collect reissues.
