I've been phasing out some custom ideas and projects and reigning it in. A lot of times early on, I was usually customizing something I want that Hasbro wasn't providing. But really, from CW to present, Hasbro's been killing it.

Which oddly, has made customizing more fun for me since now I'm usually just doing touch ups or design tweaks and not mass overhauls or anything.

 

The UM/Galaxy Op head works so much better with the ER body it's not even funny. If I can find Netflix Prime I may just do a swap/repaint with my Siege Magnus.

 

GF has the mouth plate details of the g1 toy.

 

Thanks to @Dr Mantis Toboggan and his ER Camshaft I now have the head picked out for my “MP01/10” version.

Lot easier to paint a white head than a dark blue one. Maybe if I do get Kindgom Magnus I'll poach his unarmoured noggin (since the core robot looks... not great without the armour) and give it to ER Prime if/when I get a version of that mould. Maybe it's just because the Netflix show ruined that "likeness" or just because the details seem oddly square, but I really don't like the Siege Prime head sculpt anymore.

 

I call dibs on the head if you’ll sell it?

Yeah those pieces both scale better with those figures. Wonder if there's a trailer that would fit with the core size?

I have it’s original release and the Galaxy Force version. I wanted the G2 Comic heads from the second release of THS 02 but was never able to get them. There was a semi recent 3rd release.

 

About to paint the helmet and neck. Need to make some cuts in the knee stickers so they lay better on the edges.

How does one cut it without pinching the end? Do you score it until it breaks through?

 

Your idea of scoring sounds good. Maybe put a plastic or wooden dole of a slightly smaller diameter in there to support it as you cut.

 

Hi. Sorry if this isn't the right thread. I have a netflix optimus prime which is basically identical to the earthrise version.

I saw on ebay and amazon there's a back filler that has been printed. Most of the website I see show it's from China. Does anyone know of an american website like Shapeways that has this part? I'd prefer not to wait months and months for this all the way from China.

 

It's a proprietary design from SWL I think, so I think you're outta luck.
