Does anyone have any idea what sort of production numbers there is or has been for any specific figures or Transformer lines?

I am curious more for the sake of determining pricing/value, as well as bragging rites for any rare items I may own.

Its hard to determine what is rare as distribution can vary wildly from area to area, I read about people not being able to find Quickmix in their area but there are so many at my local TRU they can't give them away.

Mainly I am interested in G1, but anything will do, any thoughts? Any sites out there with that sort of info?

The only number that I can remember is for Beast Machines Primal Prime - I remember hearing that there were only 10,000 of him made.

sorry to dig this thread up, but I'm very curious to know about this too.
Does anybody have any idea how many of each toy they usually make?

I've never heard numbers for standard release figures. However, for figure runs like Energon Ultra Magnus & Rapid Run (and Primal Prime), I have heard the production run numbers described as low/10-12k units.

I don't know if that helps...

generally the larger more expensive a figure the fewer are made as it won't sell as well as the small less expensive figs
