I think your sense of lighting is good. However I think you should use a darker grey and a different type of paper. What kind of paper are you using?
To be honest: whenever I ask what type of paper should I use for drawing, nobody replies. xD So I use the common one I got at home. ^^'
Is it computer paper? Also what kind of markers are you using? There's certain types/brands I can recommend that'll complement the markers more.
