G1 soundwave question

    So I just received my SDCC Soundwave with the 4 cassettes bots and notice everything seem to be stickered.

    Are there previous versions of soundwave that had tampo printing? I seem to recall reading about previous releases of the cassette bots that had tampo printing instead of stickers. Is that also true for soundwave himself?
