My G1 soundwave's missile launcher doesn't allow the missile to stay in place. Is there anyway I can fix that?
....that's easier said than done. It's a G1 Soundwave. The parts might be found on eBay, but they're generally expensive. You're lucky you were able to find a replacement Dinobot. G1? Not so much these days. Transmorph633, you could crack open the launcher and remove the spring. Or tighten the spring up a bit so the catch will grab the missile again. Either way, the launchers on a G1 Soundwave are basically neutered and won't allow for the missile to launch, so you're not missing anything even if you do gut it. Unless this is a reissue. If that's the case, then I suppose the launchers do work.
I think I have an extra one. PM me. I'll try to find it if you remind me. May be the "rocket launcher", but I think i remember seeing the missile in it. Came in a box when I guy I knew in college GAVE me metroplex and omega supreme. Oh what a glorious day!
Just take it apart and file the trigger bit that holds the missle in place flat again, and/or file flat the edge on the missle it hooks to. Age has rounded one or both off. No need for a whole new assembly.
Do you mean the circular stick thing inside the launcher? Also the missile launcher does the opposite effect. When you hold on to the button it stays in place. However when you release the hold the missile slips out.
??? Not sure what you mean. Usually the trigger is just a piece of plastic on a pivot that has a little catch on one end that hooks into the groove on the missle. Push trigger, catch lifts and missle fires. Maybe Soundwave has a different assembly, I don't have him here so I can't look.
