G1 Seeker wing gap

    My current favourite TFs are the G1 seeker reissues. Only thing is the wing gap. I never had ay seekers first time round (or any decepticons actually), but looking at pics I think this is inherent in the design. Looking at them though, it looks like the wings would sit flush to the body if some of the depth/length of the wing peg was reduced. Has anyone done this?

    Early releases of Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Starscream, and the Diaclone versions actually had a shorter wing peg and no gap. I don't believe Ramjet, Thrust or Dirge had different length peg.

    On my commemorative edition's I sanded the peg down a bit....now wings are flush like the diaclone and pre-rub wings....

    Wicked, thanks man. Did you just shorten the peg, or did you have to reduce the diameter too?

    Yeah, I sanded the pegs down on my Encore Starscream. Boggles my mind why the reissues did that. Just have to shorten them, don't need to do anything to reduce the diameter.
