Hey I went back about 6 pages and didnt see this anywhere so I thought I would post it. If it has been posted somewhere and I missed it I apologize. Looks like they have confirmed two more G1 releases for THIS YEAR!! Transformers DVD news: Announcement for Transformers - Season Two, Volume 1: 25th Anniversary Edition | TVShowsOnDVD.com September 1st and 15th are the listed release dates!
Oh snap! Will it be worth the wait to pick up each individual season, or just cut to the chase and get the Matrix complete set? Decisions Decisions.
I think it's a good idea to release the sets in different versions at multiple price points. Whereas a Mom might not grab a full TV season for a birthday gift, a $9 value-priced dvd might fit the bill.
Weren't they gonna release the entire G1 series in 1 dvd set in September? Have they changed their plans and split it up now by seasons to make more money?
When does The Matrix Of Leadership boxset come out ? Rather than buy them by volume, I'll going to by the complete series in one shot with the box set .
Great they are clearly going to milk this for all it's worth. I don't think I'll bother getting these now. I want a box set for each season not part 1,2,3,4 of just one season where it adds up to more money having to be spent. This is how the original Transformers G1 DVDs were.
The box art looks uninspired. And what is the deal using Ops and Megs in the same pose...only smaller on the Season 2 Vol. 1 set??? I hope these are just mock ups and not the final versions!
I'm almost certain someone else asked this in another thread regarding these and the answer was no. This series is too old and would be too expensive for them to be captioned now. This could change if enough people ask perhaps, but I got the impression it was not likely to happen. Sorry, I like to read the captions too.
