For those who wanted Soundblaster - didn't you guys have like, months to get him from Takara?

Because they want to flog this to normal people in stores, especially people who have heard of the new movie and might buy this. They won't know who the hell Soundblaster is.
Stepper was already being made by Takara, is something of a fandom holy grail and was thus released during the reissue line's run, and Astrotrain floated in limbo for awhile since TRU reissues collapsed a few years back, so HTS was the only place left to sell him, otherwise he might have ended up on clearance at KB like Sideswipe.

This reissue might be to test the waters.

Only way they can fit two tapes was to make the actual tape door thicker. Some japanese versions of Soundwave had mold variations, including the single big silver array of buttons. This was carried over to Soundblaster.

Yes yes yes. Exactly as I was expecting the toy, a blue soundblaster mould. And I mean it wasn't that hard to expect this either, you only have to put 1+1 together to come to that conclusion. Hasbro releasing a black soundblaster mould? Pfft, gotta be living under a ton of rocks to expect that.

The only surprise to me though was what tapes it had, I'm glad it's laserbeak and ravage. But if you think on it just a little more as well, like 2+2, it makes sense they went with these characters as well.

In conclusion, me wantee. The only soundwave I currently have is a WSTF one.

At least we're also getting a decent soundwave. (Hasbro can surprise). That titanium abomination (and the rest of that line) can go and get melted down to make the die-cast parts on this soundwave release.

Looks worth getting. I've never been a fan of the wierdy chest detailing on the Soundblaster mold, but that's tiny nitpicks. I'd imagine this could be a success on the level of the EARLY TRU G1 reissues if the toy isn't totally oversaturated.

Just tell me when and where.

I'll definitely consider adding it to my collection. I'm kinda glad my G1 still works, though.

Never had Soundwave/Soundblaster, but always wanted. This looks like the best of both worlds! I will definitely get him if I can!

As long as they don't screw the rest of us on getting this like they did with Astrotrain and Nemesis Prime and any other damn friggin USA only bloody exclusive.

For those of you that want a Soundblaster, here's a thought, go friggin buy one and quit whining.

Why yes I did, I was also financially strapped for that half a year and sadly watched as prices sky rocketed shortly after his release.

Well I would now if his price wasn't approaching Pedaking reissue status. Also, I'll bitch if I want to, last I checked, the internet obviously didn't have a no-bitching policy. KTHXBYE ;)

AWESOME news. I'd have definitely bought this with either Soundwave or Soundblaster colors. Plus, my Ravage is slightly gimpy due to loose joints so i won't say no to a minty fresh one...My laserbeak on the other hand is in immaculate condition...I may have to leave the reissue in the package. I'm so glad to hear reissues are still alive and kicking. I'd buy one of those over an Alternator any day.
