Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I honesty can't believe we Calgarians got this lucky TWICE. Soundwave showing up first was one thing, but the cassettes also getting here just over a week later is shocking. I was prepared to have to wait until Sep or something crazy considering how past releases have gone.
Winnipeg still has Tailgate and Swerve, and the odd Optimus. Maybe next year :s
I found G1 Soundwave and both packs of cassettes at my local Walmart in El Centro, CA today. They had tons of both cassette packs but only two Soundwave figures.
Price tags are up for Soundwave and the cassettes in most stores around Grand Rapids, MI but none of it has been put out, from what I’ve seen. As many on here have commented, they’re in the middle of a toy dept reset. The people at the Grandville, MI store were nice enough to look in inventory but couldn’t tell me when the stock would be put out.
On vacation in Hilton Head SC and they just stocked Soundwave and cassettes this morning at the local Walmart. Had a ton of both.
The product tags are up in Ottawa, but I have not seen product. Not sure if the tags went up before the product arrived, or if the place was picked clean. That said, but for the tags, the aisle appeared exactly as it did the week before.
the same in Winnipeg, it has to be before the product is out, no way the pickers are that good
Lookie who I found in Winnipeg this morning
Uggh...I wonder why Walmart.ca has stopped putting the reissues on the website. They put the first wave and Optimus, but nothing since then.
First time seeing them in the store. They were the very last ones. But they are just so expensive.
I have been skulking in my town, and I picked up all four Cassettes on two days ago, and Soundwave just yesterday.
The "tell" seems to be when the tags go out - there's a Wally close to me that's had the tags for a week or so before the Cassettes and Soundwave showed up, and there's a second Wally farther away (and in the same city), that hasn't had the tags. Obviously, once I found them closer to me, I stopped checking the second Wally, but from memory, they would typically get their stock a week or so after the first place. I guess, keep an eye out for tags, and then once you see them, be committed to checking daily.
That said, there was one full rack of Cassettes, and there were plenty when I checked yesterday. I think there were seven or eight Soundwaves, too.
was at walmart in my area and picked up two today. they've been out of stock since the release until now. not that i needed more G1 soundwaves but damnit, I can't help myself....it's G1. key to my heart.
