Because Devastator would've been near the hundred dollar range as a box set and they can't release them carded either because some dummy would try to cram the 6 of them into a standard 8-item assortment.

mentioned this in the Tiys The Made Us thread: it was odd to have such a big spotlight the never released Unicron figure propped next to John Warden the whole time. It’s never acknowledged. I’d bet that if the G1 Walmart releases exceed expectations it’ll get released. Fans would eat it up.

I was kind of resigned to this new wave of reissues just being reruns of the Commemorative Series, but considering the SDCC dino cassettes, now I really am wondering if some of the formerly Japan-only releases might be on the table. Up thread I half-joked about Hasbro releasing Grandus and Dai Atlas, and well...

    ...I'm not joking anymore.

I agree it’s incredibly unlikely, especially in this climate. The closest we will get (and have recently gotten a reissue of) is Nerf Megatron

I mainly hope for the ones I had as a kid.
I'd love it to be able to get them in original packaging again.
Air Raid and First Aid are probably not gonna happen if all the combiners are coming in giftsets. And Barrage is doubtfull too.
But I'd love Mindwipe, Skullgrin, Bludgeon, Thunderwing, Doubledealer, Sureshot.
Maybe a Slag, Mirage and a Megatron.

I would love to see remakes, with beter plastic, of some figures that suffered from Cheap Hollow Plastic Syndrome.

Looking forward to possibly getting Bumblebee, Swerve, Tailgate, Outback, Starscream, Hot Rod, and Devastator. :D

    Aside from them...

Pretender Classics set (especially since I think the original mold for Grimlock was lost)
    Jazz (original)
    Ironhide + clip-on head
    Ratchet +clip-on head
    Sideswipe
    Sunstreaker
    Prowl
    Pipes
    Kup
    Blurr
Soundwave + Laserbeak, Ravage, and Rumble
    Powermaster Optimus Prime
    Generation 2 Megatron
    Thundercracker
    Skywarp

and maybe some out-of-left field releases like the Sparkabots or the Firecons, with the Action Master versions of Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, Megatron, etc. to make them more appealing to casual fans.

I would love to see Overlord and LioKaiser get a US release (reissue). I never even knew that they existed as a kid, and I'd love to own them without selling a kidney.

That would require the mold to still exist.

Unicron never was produced. Its not so much 'its gone' in that 'it never existed in the first place'

There are only prototypes out there. It never got pushed to actual production

You will be waiting for a long time. It’s a known fact and confirmed by Hasbro that the Dinobots molds were all lost a long time ago. It’s not possible to reissue the original G1 Dinobots.

Unless they do what the KO companies have done, which is to reproduce the molds. Which is child’s play for a multi million dollar company. This “lost mold” excuse I see repeated over and over again does not hold.
