Yeah $78 after tax is tough for a tiny toy like that.

You can buy originals for cheaper. Not new in the box I guess, but still good condition

    I'm scream-laughing at that price.

Can't wait to pick this up for $14 when it inevitably ends up in the discount bin like every other overpriced reissue has.

While on a recent road trip, i stopped into a few Walmarts and one of them had 20+ reissue Starscreams left, down to $30 a pop. Id be interested in Astro at that price, but mainly I'm hoping i can find some WM's that have some Soundwaves when they drop to clearance prices, id 100% snag one of those at sub $35, but all in im probably going to skip this Astrotrain. This is some next level gouging from Hasbro; A toy with 80s engineering and plastic content shouldn't be price prohibitive for the majority of people.

You cant tell me this Astrotrain is worth two siege voyagers.

They're barely staying on the shelves in my area. I am shocked that people are not only buying one of these when seen, but buying multiples for resells.

The Soundwave release was garbage too. It was just a repack of the terrible reissue that barely sold back in 09.

Not only are originals cheaper, but they're color accurate and don't have the shoddy QC issues.

I’ve only ever seen the Optimus on clearance. The rest of the reissues fly off shelves around here.

Only one I haven't seen is Soundwave and the Minibots. Soundwave's new, but still warming shelves, while the Minibots are already cheap. (well, cheap for Walmart, they're $12 here)

My area is the same, as pessimistic as I am about the G1 reissue prices, they never shelfwarm at my local stores (Portland, Oregon area), my buddy in Texas sends me pics of $13 primes, $30 soundwaves, $11 cassette packs all the time -_-

yeah, i have never seen them on clearance except prime and prime's clearance was 40.99.
no idea where these other clearances (14.99??) are happening in Canada...let alone, Ontario....i am also not complaining about the prices. i've spent well above these prices for reissues and originals in box.

I would buy this if they fixed his non-extending arms. This is common knowledge, right? I think? The original toy looks like it has arms that you can pull out to extend them and make them look more like arms, but to save money they just made the arm one ungly piece that doesn\'t extend, but looks like it does.

If the reissue fixes that, that would be cool.

I've bought every Walmart G1 reissues so far but this. Ugh. I can't justify paying $70+ for a toy that is the same size class as reissue Hotrod that sold for $40. I can't understand Hasbro's logic behind that outrageous price.

If I can pass on overpriced $20.00 reissues (Decepticon cassettes), I can easily say no to this.

Wow!  That is really expensive for a small toy in Canada. Here in the States, they are $40, but that is still too high for this toy.  Someone should really talk to the Hasbro panel about these prices at one of the Comic Cons coming up.  Tell them people are basically picking these up when they go on clearance.  Makes you wonder what Blaster\'s price will be when he comes out.
