I was wondering about this: what could be the alternative mode of G1 Rack'N'Ruin ?

I create this thread to collect your opinion : what do you think the alterative mode of G1 Rack'N'Ruin could be ?

I think they were Cybertronian Jets, but I might be misremembering as they never transformered. I think it was in a tech spec or something.

According the Q&A in the 1989 Marvel UK booklet, Transformers: The Facts, they turned into cybertronian mini-jets back before they were combined. To me, they look like they would transform like Jumpstarters or the early Pretenders.

That’ll be what I was thinking of. They really don’t seem to have any alt-mode kibble or hunt. Who knows where their wings might be.

It is quite possible that they are cybertronic jets indeed, but in robot mode, no elements suggest this. Their merger has also most likely forced them to change their alternative mode.

And personally I find that a terrestrial mode would be much better than an air mode.

If they are stuck together, maybe they turn into a motorcycle with a sidecar.

    That or one of these:

I want a remold of Cloudraker as Rack N Ruin. They would be almost identical to each other, but have arms that can be detached or transformed so that they can combine like they did in the Marvel comics, or be separate robots that can transform into separate jets.

I was going to do this as a custom a while ago but felt like they'd be too short for either a CHUG or voyager/MMC scale collection :(

I never realised how much this vehicle looks like a pair of 70's shoes until now.

If we're judging on the robot mode... I'd say they look more like a certain jet mode than Slugslinger or Airrazor ever did.
