    thanks for the reply, one more thing was there ever an official chinese remake made in the late 80's early 90's. thanks in advance

    Per Fred's variations page, yes, he was released in the official chinese 80s/90s run

    yes there was a chinese 90's release but no crappy KO version. There is an AFA 85 chinese punch counterpunch on ebay right now. You can tell by the abbreviated copyright string on the back of the box at the bottom.

    That is a very important distinction to make. The late 80s/90s run of Chinese boxed transformers are not to be considered knock offs. They are legitimate figures that were authorized and licensed by Hasbro, and legally carry the Hasbro trademark/logos on them and the package. They are not to be considered in the same category of the "reissue" stuff that KOtoys puts out.
