At $35, they've definitely picked up speed. Without the trailer, that was really the appropriate price all along.

 

Probably wanting OP off the shelves before Soundwave drops so they don't have two big bot reissues on the shelves at the same time. The minibots/cassettes aren't really a big deal because they don't really take up that much space comparatively.

 

Remember when stores had more than one or two different toys on shelves at the same time? Why, you could even buy a hero _and_ a villain for him to fight!

Yeah definitely! Im a tightwad, and have been waiting patiently since they dropped. I figured they would after devastator dropped to 19 bucks, I just didnt think it would take this long. Now the question is do I wait for Soundwave to drop too  

 

I really hope they re-release this with the trailer

 

Couldn’t sleep so went to the Walmart near me. Grabbed the last G1 Reissue Optimus Prime marked down to $25.00 from $50.00. I regret selling my original Prime back in the day so this will be added to my large Optimus Prime only section of my figures.

 

Had to force myself not to buy one even at $25. I've got just too many optimus reissues. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

Ha, well, I thought about it as $25 for half a Prime that will sit in a box when I've got both an original (albeit beat up) and identical KO (that is my display piece), so I've got that boxed G1 thing already happening. So that $25 can go to another refraktor whenever I find one.

Now $15...I wouldn't have thought twice about it.

 

I hear ya. But sub-$30 was my buy point since I have the rest of these G1 Walmart reissues. I just couldn't believe how bad my box choices were even with about 20 on the shelf. I have the Commemorative, Pinkish 25th, and somehow accumulated 3 original ones (still need to inventory those when I get a chance and track down a couple pieces). Now if they release a full version, I will feel taken.

 

That's just it for me, even at $24.99 or even $14.99 I just don't see myself buying it without the trailer. I love displaying Transformers in both alt mode and robot mode.

I guess I could always buy an original trailer., but then I might as well just buy the whole thing original.

 

I was stoked to find a Walmart while I was out of town that had Optimus for $25. I picked up 2, 1 to open and 1 to keep MISB.

I was disappointed to discover that this Optimus WILL NOT fit in the earlier Ultra Magnus reissue trailer. The headlights are just slightly far enough apart to make it impossible to attach both headlights to the tabs on the back of the Ultra Magnus trailer.

This was a downer because I wanted to display this new Optimus cab with my Diaclone color Ultra Magnus reissue trailer. Currently, I have a new years Convoy cab with the trailer. I was hoping this new Optimus could get the Delta Magnus trailer and then I could put the new years Convoy set back together.

Oh well, I guess I'm still on the lookout for a good price on an earlier Takara Convoy reissue cab.

 

Just a heads up, looks like these are being clearanced out to $13 in some areas.

 

Wow, I have 2 already but if I saw $13 I would get another, I mean why not. If anyone ever wanted an Optimus prime here is your chance.
