Keep in mind it wouldn't be worth the person's while to do this if this price wasn't $50 for a trailer-less toy that's had too many reissues to count.

The market dictates more than just sales.

 

Looks like good old OP is starting to get the clearance treatment. This was taken yesterday at the Walmart in Riverdale, NJ.

 

Oooooh $5 off, thanks Walmart, now I can buy seven! Lol. Ah well, it's a start, I guess.

I did buy one full price to go with the trailer from my 2002 ( I think) reissue, so now have a complete Prime with the longer smokestacks, but I did want another to go MISB display.

 

I have an actual G1, so I'm not gonna pay $50 for this, but if it was $20-30 I probably would, just because my old one is well used and not in perfect shape (or close). I almost want it just for a new set of fists, since I lost one at some point over the decades. I'm very pleased to see they managed to give it proper long stacks! Short stacks I would never consider. I even bought a Takara MP1 over the Hasbro version just because of the stacks.

 

At first I dismissed this as unnecessary, but the more I look at it the more I kind of love it. I’m not a MISB type of guy at all, but THIS I would put on a shelf and maybe never open. Want!

 

$4 off is not exactly "clearance" price to me. Now if was $24.99-$29.99, I'd scoop one up.

 

all of the Wal Marts around here have OP for $35 and one store is saying $25.

 

$15 is my minimum. Just have too many reissues with the trailer that it will be a waste of money to me for anything more.

$35 was good enough to get me to buy a third. I got to choose from 7. They had been there long enough that they had accumulated a layer of dust. If they had been $13 I would have bought every single one they had.

 

I checked a few Wal-Marts today. 1 of them had about 8-10 Primes for $35. The others had no Primes at all. I'm going to search the rest of them in my area to see if any of them have him for $13. If not, I'll go back and get him for $35, assuming there's any left.

 

On sale for $39.99 CAD (or about $30 USD) on the Canadian site. This should have been the price from the get go. $70 for just the cab is absurd.

 

Now $35 at Walmart. Tempted to nab.

Kinda scummy maybe but as I didn't bash the box I don't feel bad, lol.

Hopefully he's perfect and I don't need to even bother though.

 

Picked one up at my local store for $35. Expecting them not to last too long now.
