same here. At first I was like hell yeah, when I saw him. Then I quickly realized no trailer, and I put him back down :)

There's actually 4-5 of them on Mecari for about $35 US right now. I was able to snag one a couple weeks ago. They are fairly regular on there at that price.

The thing I wonder though is how these people are getting them to sell them for that price....

Some Walmarts mark everything down to clearance instead of just old waves. They're probably coming from places drowning in Hotrods that marked all reissues down to $12.

I hope those who really want him and are willing to pay that price are able to grab him from Walmart.com while he's there if they can't find a pristine copy in-store. I still have my 2002 New Year Special Convoy and 2003 TF Collection Convoy, both MISB. While I'd be happy to have an Optimus to open up and mess around with again, I still don't see this one as being worth more than $30 even with the great packaging. A price drop similar to Hot Rod's would be great. Being in NYC, we have no local Wal-Marts here (they were blocked from trying to build one here), but one of the semi-close ones in NJ actually had Devastator listed on the site for $19 for store pick-up. Would love to see Optimus fall to about $20, then I'd be all over it.

I might end up returning mine, bought at $50 a piece which never felt right. If they're putting them on clearance or markdown, I might snag it again at that price.

We, in Australia, would be extremely happy just to have them in stores. Optimus, Starscream, Soundwave, Hot Rod, Mini cassettes.

We did get the non-US version of the first lot of Minibots (Bee, Swerve, Outback & Tailgate) at a random kids clothing store. That was a nice surprise.

Do you happen to have a picture of those figures? I'm curious how the packaging differs from the US/Canadian boxes. Thanks!

Last time i was at my local walmart they still had 2 left from the previous 5. Still at $50 I'm just not going to buy it at that price. If Wal-Mart drops the price online and in stores I'll snag 1 for sure.

Especially seeing as how it does not include a trailer.

Just bought one on ebay for 24 dollars. Including shipping and stuff it's 55 euros, but damn... It will look good next to hot rod.

    I don't think so.
They said the same thing about Wal mart Devy and now the price has dropped.

It depends on the location. They certainly go faster than Hot Rod.
