I got my Mirage KO about a mth ago. He's awesome and really shines. I bought him to show my friends the actual differences between him and the Original G1 version I had.
One of the friends bought it from me. He says he cannot tell the difference between the two. Other than mine was discolored and the stickers were peeling. That hurt, but at least I have the Original!

Now they want me to buy a KO Wheeljack to compare to my old G1
Both friends say they would buy the KO over the real deal because of money diff, and because they look better. I can attest, Mirage looks damn good next to my original.

Most reviews I've seen state that a KO Mirage is 90% decent from what I've read.
My question is-- How does the KO Wheeljack stack up compared to Mirage? I'm stuck with him if my friends don't like it :lol

I have both and I think the Wheeljack is even better. My Mirage has 2 left hands!
Wheeljack is great quality. Apparerently the Plastic on the KO is whiter than the original. If I've got this right the plastic on the original is a kind of off-white colour whereas the KO is a bright white... I've had a few problems with the metal bar connectors that hold his feet together coming out - But they're easily put back into place. Also some tiny paint chips in a few places on the feet. Overall though, really, really good. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I just wish these things were a little cheaper. If I could get these KOs for the same price as the encores coming out of japan, I'd have every one of them.

Like OldDirtyBot stated above, check ioffer.com. Looking at the past sales, Mirage went for $38. shipped recently.

With Wheeljack, I've seen some that have the number on the sides and some don't. Is there a quality difference between the two?

I haven't even opened my KOS other than to pull the inside tray out to fix it. The bubble was coming undone from the backing board. In the box though, he looks just as good as Mrage does. I have both displayed MIB with my G1 reissue collection.

I'm relatively new to TF collecting and I've never heard of these G1 knockoffs. Who makes them? And is there a master list of all the ones that have been made so far?
    Thanks.

I only own 1 KO and thats wheeljack. I love this figure, its not off white, feels great and looks better then those vintage Hasbro toys.

HOWEVER, the legs are a huge issue with mine. It cannot stand up straight at all and once I finally do get it to stand, the little bar on his legs come flying out. Its such a pain and really takes away from this figures awesomeness. With that said, I just traded for a junker Wheeljack, hopefully a leg switch will fix the problem.

Otherwise, i'll just buy a good looking WJ since i'll have all the parts.

The jury is still out for me, i'm not happy with the legs but if this fix works. it will be an AWESOME buy. I paid about 55 bucks for it on ioffer from t800pro. got it in 2 weeks

That's where I got Mirage from. I'll wait a bit and let more people chime in here before deciding on WJ.

Cool man, i'll let you know if the fix works. I mean, junker wheeljacks are a dime a dozen so if thats all you gotta do then its not hard.

The swap would probably only take less then 5 mins, but i'll let you know how it turns out.

I used to see photos of the KO Wheeljack with a clear canopy on his chest before the figure actually came out. I've heard this is not the case with the actual figure that has shipped. Can you guys confirm if the canopy is colored white on the top like the original? I'd hate to spend $60 and get something that looks way off.

here are photos of mine. Like I said in the other tread, the legs on mine are terrible. It just keeps on falling over and will not stand up straight for long. Anyhow, I brought a junker WJ to switch out the legs. Hopefully that will fix everything.

I'll have to dig my G1 Wheeljack out to look, but the tires on the KO look funky. Like they don't fit.

Here are a couple pics of my KO Mirage. Any "NEW" news on Sunsteaker yet? Still debating on getting Wheeljack or not.

Just as an update to my post.

I found a Junker Wheeljack and switched out the original leg components with the KO's and now it stands fine.

Here are photos of the originals wheels for anyone wishing to compare.

To be honest, it doesn't feel as awesome as the original G1 figures. However, it is up to par with any of the recent Hasbro TF reissues making it a must buy for sure.

I don't mind to bump this thread but how do I tell if an ebay seller is selling a KO wheeljack or the real thing? Thanks! :)

I believe there's a sticky thread about how to tell KO's from the real ones.
