After doing up the trio of Autobots whom first appeared on our screens in their Cybertronian modes back in the day, almost forgotten that there was one more little dude who also did show up in Cybertronian mode!

Now to make up for it - introducing Cybertronian Laserbeak!

Laserbeak sports very unique looking disc like wings in this version, with little canons up on them. Very cute:

Here's a closer look from the other side

Size wise, had scaled him to fit somewhat in the palm of a hand - a little reference to how he does transform into a cassette (for some reason!).

    Laserbeak05.JPG

On the underside, had opted to design in some feet to allow Laserbeak to still stand like a bird. However, these also swivel back into the recesses so they can be tucked away to look more similar to its flight mode shown on screen, or rotated to whatever angle feels right for posing him.

Here's what it looks like with the feet fully tucked in. Also sports two downwards facing thrusters for vertical takeoff.

On the rear side of course he would need some nice flight boosters!

To give Laserbeak the requisite articulation, a couple of 4 and 5mm rods were used for the feet and the head.

This was a fun little project and as always the files have been realized right up over here if anyone would like to try making one too - https://www.patreon.com/posts/33649581 =D

Great work! It was always a bit strange in their designs for Laserbeak in that episode - they basically had his robot mode/alternate mode backwards in terms of what should stay the same and what should be 'Cybertronian' looking (ignoring that all of them should have had Cybertronian alt-mode features in their robot modes). Laserbeak's bird mode should have stayed the same and he should have transformed into a Cybertronian data-storage medium.

Thank ya all! Hope some of you will give it a whirl too :p

Yes, that's true now that you mention it! But guess since it was to make soundwave as close to the Japanese toy they had at that time, they played it the other way round. But still, at least we got to see a new Cybertronian design in the Cybertron/Galaxy Force version of them :D
