Here is my second project friends. It is in a very early stage.
The moment i saw the red body i thought that we could use that to gain a Cliffjumper on our MP shelves. Here is the result so far.
The project has been refined already and i should have a better version with more Clifjumpery horns after the weekend. Enyoy:




This can also be used for a G1 Yellow Cliffjumper is someone desires.

I will also be testing a spioler and maby some type of slide on feet. But for now my main focus will be on the head. Do you think it could work?

I feel that the upper half of his head should be more smaller. In the cg rendering, it looks more closer to a spherical shape.

I like the idea. But make sure it doesn't look too much like a mushroom (or dickhead)!

I gotta wait for the correct body, although I have no faith that tt will get the head right.

 

Not bad, but the altmode is wrong now so Ill wait for a real Cliffjumper (either official or 3P).

If you want to make some real money, redo FT Sever and (buckethead) and FT Tesla. You do those 2 specifically and you'll have some real crowd pleasers!

I'd ask the same if they tried passing off a red Bumblebee as Cliffjumper... For people that want this option, this is great...but an accurate CJ is not a red BB with different head...or even altered feet. And thankfully TT recognizes that fact.

 

I think this is a really fun idea.
But I also think the face comes off as really narrow and long in the prototype, and that those 3D screencaps are closer to the mark.
No offense and I think you're doing good work, but I bet you'd get more takers if you widened that face a bit.

 

Because G1 Cliffjumper isn't supposed to be Bumblebee in red. He needs his own mold and I'm glad Takara isn't half-assing it for the MP line. This is cool for those that want to fill the gap but I'd rather wait for Cliffjumper to be done right.

 

you could just go WORK for fanstoys.

 

It's cool and all, but how hard would it really be for Takara to take the Bumblebee mold and do a slight reshell in a typical 80's economy car sedan to make a real Cliffjumper?

 

It wouldn't be hard but it'd be completely wrong since Cliffjumper turns into a Porsche 924.

 

Well then, that's what it should be...



in red, not a red VW Beetle.

 

I'd rather have a red BB toy face.
