so lately since i've been getting back into collecting TRANSFORMERS i figured it would make sense to brush up on my TF knowledge and watch up all the G1 series. . .

and as i was watching i only wondered why hasn't TAKARA or HASBRO releases any show accurate scale sized figures. i mean yeah i understand a big factor might be as far as materials go and over all cost but i believe maybe something can be done.

    as i watched
TF:25/9 "Atlantis, Arise!" - GRIMLOCK is way bigger than MEGATRON
TF:26/10 "Attack of the Autobots" - BUMBLEBEE is slightly above OPTIMUS PRIME knee

so on and so on. . . so would it be wrong to get a line made to be show scale accurate? or am i just over dreaming it? i think it would be awesome to display them as show accurate scaled or hell even for a diorama.

While size was inconsistant, they usually shot for making the show toy-accurate, not scale accurate. Minibots were smaller than Autobot cars, despite the fact that they should be the same size. Autobot Cars were nearly as tall as a Decepticon jet, despite that the car should by TINY next to a jet.

We have a scale thread where people try to calculate the real world size of characters.

Do not try to understand G1 size. There are size charts and so on but the cartoon is baisiccly a 20 min long toy commercial. You will also see bruticus in some episodes the same size as Galvatron.

so yeah dont worry your head around it.

Takara seem to be going for scale in robot mode in the Masterpiece series now. This was with MP Sideswipe recently in a showcase:

Bottom line is if you want scale you are gonna have to pay for it!!

    that link is useful thanks

yeah my post was mainly focused on the masterpiece G1 scale which i had left out but pretty much obvious since masterpiece is the only line coming out with the main G1 figures but i hope for a bumble bee that size like in the chart. which makes me wonder a bumblebee that small in masterpiece line would be pretty cheap considering
