I used zenmarket.jp and quite possibly snagged one, but I think it won't be official til it's actually released.

Do you know if that site's for people not in Japan?

    those prices seem reasonable.

I'm gonna risk it and hope on the 8th, the demand won't be that much. I wish the sellers gave a guide for shipping prices. Do they have the right to not even ship to the US if you won the auction?

That's not how the proxy sites work. They buy it for you and get it shipped to them. That's where you pay the seller's shipping cost. Then, the proxy ships it to you, and that's where you pay the international shipping, as well as any service fees. Zenmarket appeared to be the cheapest with a flat 300yen fee. Again, I've never done this before, but hopefully I understood it correctly.

No promises, but if people are really desperate for this thing, I AM in Japan so maybe I can help in some way. I really don't know, though. Just throwing it out there. Shoot me a PM.

He looks cool, no doubt about that. But he doesn't really turn into anything.

Just a word of caution to those looking to buy this on eBay. I noticed that a lot of the cheaper auctions don't include the actual G-Shock watch.

Thanks. I was quick to hit the trigger, but yeah, had to read the description to make sure if there was a watch.

How did you fare with Zenmarket?

I'm gonna kick myself, but I have to pass on this above $300. I tried hard to convince myself to get the watch above $400, but I can't.....

They're just waiting to receive it from the seller, then they're going to send me the international shipping quote. So it looks like this should be a go :)

And who's buying this for the watch?

I just want the figure. Don't care about the watch.
