It has a decent asthetic to it, and I get where they\'re going with this since G-Shock\'s are particularly popular in the Asian & Japanese markets as a whole. I also really like the whole \'chrono\' matrix bit they threw in there. However, I can\'t justify buying a transformer that more or less turns into a hi-tech looking watch stand.. That and my wife would most certainly end me =~= So I\'ll probably pass on this lovely little trinket.

Yeah, that's a pretty terrible alt mode.

Even the Optimus Prime pen turned into a......pen.

Digging the Matrix pedestal mode. Has an almost "cybertronian Temple" kind of feel to it that's really growing on me.

That's actually not a bad concept to explore for the allspark or the Matrix in other material someday.

Cheers. Maybe the screenshot I had INCLUDED the tax? It's the only thing I can think of.

In the UK, G-Shock is a thing. Perhaps it's not an AMERICAN thing? I went to America a few times, and couldn't understand the obsession with males sporting beards and wearing caps. Perhaps Hasbro should make an Optimus that turns into a beard?

Anyway, my girlfriend just told me she's going to try and get me one for Christmas.

For those they don't know just HOW big a thing the G-Shock brand/watches are, globally, there's another collaboration they're doing, with the "Gorillaz":

    -

    - Gorillaz X G-SHOCK - G-TIME IS NOW

(It reminds me of myself, sitting on the sofa, next to my Japanese girlfriend, like listening to her translations of stuff on the tv...)

Love the watch but the stand isn\'t that great tbh.  I really wish they did a megatron version. As far as the comment about Gshock in the UK and USA. Yes they\'re popular in the USA as well. Ppl collect them. I think they\'ve got a little less popular in the last couple years but they are still sought after by some.

Going by the alt-mode, I was getting a ' Cybertronian temple guardian' impression (a bit like the Jedi/Sith ones from Star Wars) - basically a retired post-War Optimus who now made it is his main duty to protect the Matrix for those who might one day need it, while still guarding it from the unworthy.

Part of me appreciates your creativity and thinks your creation is funny. Another part of me wants to kill it with fire.
