All that weight is not a good thing when there's no ratchets. That would explain the shrink in size.

 

Yeah more weight does not necessarily mean it'll be more solid, it'll actually be flimsier. In the video the mace droops and it is also propped up in some pics since the wrists can't support it.

 

Its confirmed there's no ratchets? If that's true I really wonder how the joints are gonna hold up.

Said video is in chinese. I for one do not speak chinese. Can anyone here verify that the reviewer stated there are no ratchet joints on the figure?

From the sound of it, he only has elbow and outward hip ratchets.

I'm okay with this actually. I share BIOMEC's affinity for ratchets everywhere. But I'm fine with it for only the most important joints if they're dead set on using friction joints (although I would have traded the elbows for the shoulders).

 

$200 for this problem damn, I think the mace shouldn't be die cast. Just give them a battle damage paint job

 

The mace unfolds and becomes part of the main body of the alt mode, maybe its to counterbalance the tail?

 

He will be heavy, that's for sure, everything else is still uncertain.

Hmm...I came across this thread quite by accident only today so here goes an outsider's first impressions:

Looks nice. He's big. Perhaps too big. And 7-lbs. heavy. Dare I say, a bit too heavy. I like that the hand-mace isn't a permanent fixture like the hastak version. But at that price if the thing can't hold itself or its primary weapon up on its own then I think this is not for me. Will wait for the KO.

I don't belong on this thread but that was some fresh perspective from some rando that collects a bunch of other 3P's. Good day.

 

You're the first person I've seen say he's too big! I share your concern on the weight and the stability issues, but I don't think he's going to be KOed any time soon. In fact, he'd be the first of GC's toys to be KOed if it happened.

 

Right on. I shoulda put the KO bit in blue text, lol. I've got limited shelf space so I've been passing on a lot of the bigger figures, opting for the mini-MP versions instead. Looks good though, no doubt.

 

I want to get this guy, but I would like to see some better reviews. When is it supposed to come out?

 

I also prefer smaller figures (due to space but also it's become my preference over the years), so I'm happy with the size, or would be OK if he was even smaller. I wish there were MORE "mini-MPs" actually.

 

This would be the ideal figure if a 3rd party ever starts some movie legends figures
