Reading through the comments section of their Weibo posts is kinda rough. Most of the comments are people calling BS on their price defense, and GCreation excusing it all as development time and employee salaries, etc. Many buyers who PO'd years ago seem to be cancelling orders, and insisting if material costs really had gone up so much they should have waited for prices to drop down instead of producing it anyways as a means to pay their workers after years of waiting. GC really don't seem to be making a very good case for themselves based on their replies and I'm worried this kind of actions will drive them back out of the market like they mostly seemed to be for about the last 3 years.

Thanks for your info, I'm still processing what happening here about the price.
But, did they post video about the figure on their weibo post?

just got email from OMP, price indeed has gone up to 270 SGD..
So I guess it's all from the source then.. I'll wait and see the final product to see if it's worth that price..

I know scale comparisons are pretty much a perpetual losing game, but at least little Prime scales with him, because seemingly almost nothing else will. I didn't care for the BMB Grimlock because it seemed like size was the only thing going for it. I didn't opt for the WJ Grimlock because it didn't seem to add all that much that the DNA upgrade didn't already do better for the SS release, so I was mostly holding out hope this version would be the one to get. He looks great, he even looks like he'd feel great in-hand, but I'm going to have a hard time rationalizing that price tag, even after owning Shuraking, Fuuma, Rebel, and Ultra Maxmas. I've only had one tiny QC issue out of all 8 releases and they've all felt and looked great, but this one is going to have to REALLY impress in video reviews to keep from being a huge loss for the company.

That's getting to be a pretty spicy motza right there. I mean, you can get Winged Dragon or Power Baser for SGD230, or Beast Gorira for SGD10 more - and those are extremely impressive figures with some amazing shelf presence. Hell, that's up in official Titan territory which, while not being anywhere near as well engineered, are a safe purchase if you want a great figure.

It's not necessarily deal-breaker territory. But that's taking it from a "I am so getting this!" figure to a "I'm gonna wait and see how good this is before I decide" one. They could still pull out something pretty incredible with this, even if it's not as big as was initially expected.

yup my feel exactly. the only other figure that I paid at that mark is either combiner (TFM menasor set w/ metalic bling of 5 robots), those FT's (Cyclonus, Jetfire) and TW Freedom Leader.
So yeah not exactly a deal-breaker as of yet but definitely something I need to see more of before deciding.

Well I’m a huge fan of the Dinobots, I have all the G1 and FansToys Dino’s x 2 and I’ve always had an interest in dinosaurs since I was born, but the cost for Wrath is just too much even for me. Really disappointed I have to pass and hope for a sale because I was really looking forward to having this in my collection :(

    Bot mode looks terrible.

Anyway, who cares, this is GCreations, QC is suspect.

I think the bot mode is fine but the only thing I would change is the head. I haven't figured out what is it yet but someting about it is off.

I've heard more than a few people over the years make the claim that GCreation has QC issues, but almost never any references or photos. The only thing that ever came to mind was the initial release of Ultra Maxmas where a heavy-handed reviewer or two club-thumbed their way through the transformation and broke a fragile detail or two, but I've yet to see any other noteworthy scenarios of QC issues with them?

    1. Proportion looks off. Overly big hips/waist area.
    2. Fists look small.
    3. Arms too short.

Perhaps that's movie accurate, and if it is, then count me out.

As a movie Grimlock, it's spot on. You're entitled to your opinion, but it holds no weight in this thread.
