If anything it'll clip onto the back of the ring like UFO Jetwing did. It may also peg into the top of the trailer on those square holes like FWI 3 did. I'm just guessing though. I don't have this in hand but I'm assuming it's similar to both of those.

 

Hey, really would like to know if this will "connect" to the UFO trailer. If someone that has both let us know. I am looking in to putting it on the top of the ring as in the DOTM.

Actually, it doesn't. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the clip is too wide to fit in the trailer slot. I took a pic of the FWI-4 and Jetwing clips next to each other to demonstrate...
I think there are two options to get around this:
1) Grind down the sides of the FWI-4 clip. I don't know if the rest of the clip would still fit, I didn't look that closely at it. I'd also be concerned about lack of stability of the jetpack on Prime's back...
2) Cut out the sides on the trailer slot. I'm afraid, though, that would cause more stress on what remains of the slot and it would eventually break off...

I liked putting my FWI-4 on top with the Jetwing on back, as seen in my other pic. The small wings help to balance it on there some. Then I think I'll add FWI-3 to the bottom...

Got my annular trailer and jetwing kit a couple days apart and WOW guys.....this is, by far, the greatest movie display i've ever seen. Having purchased the Hasbro Jetwing Prime and Takara black Jetwing Prime, i stacked and stored their packs behind the trailer and used Junkion blacksmith infinity warfare parts to store the FWi-4 guns on top of them.

Note: You'll notice one of the jetwings and the main chain guns look rather white or gray. That's because i absolutely hate chrome- so once i got the black takara jetwing prime, i disassambled and soaked his jetwing parts in Super Clean to remove the chrome finish.

The 2nd release of the FWi-3 Jet Power upgrade kit is pre-ordered and on the way, along with a Striker Optimus Prime to join the display. This'll be the greatest display i've ever had. ^_^

Get the FWi-4 Jetwing Kit and uFO Annular Trailer guys- they're amazing products. ^_^

 

...... you do realize that there are people (such as me) who would've paid you good money for those chrome parts in ADDITION to swapping a non-chrome set with you? Or did you only do it on the Jetwing parts and not on the Optimus itself?

 

Yes I do

I wanted the Black Jetwing Optimus for other projects, so I still have it on the side, unaltered, waiting for them to begin. In terms of swapping sets, I don't do exchanges of any kind. Typically when I buy a figure, it either gets stripped down for parts, modified, or left on display unaltered- I don't exchange my collectibles- I made a mistake going in on a similar deal several years ago and lost a significant amount of money- so exchanges are a no-no for me.

So he's usable with the normal ROTF version of the mold as well then? I was worried that he needs Buster/Jetwing gastanks that come off, but if it fits a normal ROTF version then this is by far batter than Takara's jetwing just for compatibility.

 

Yep, the gas tanks can stay on with this set.

Just got my kit yesterday and holy shit does he look good. I currently have it with the Amazon Jetwing Prime mold, which has the lighter plastic, but I don't mind the different. I have my Buster Prime with the FWI-3 kit and also have a custom painted Prime I made so I might switch them around to see which I like best with what kit.

 

Ordered mine at chimungmung for a reasonable price I'm patient anyway If I have to wait longer so be it  

 

That is a lovely display you got there. I love how you have all three "iterations" of movie Prime on one shelf. Great work!
