Hello! Yes, um...not been posting for a while...busy with stuff like University etc.

But, I've also been building some new 3-D model type thingamies and, well...this sort of happened.

The plot (to be read in the voice of the Clone Wars continuity announcer):

The Hub has attacked! The galaxy is fighting to survive! Autobots, Decepticons, humans, Lithones, Quintessons - all manner of species have had to put aside their differences to defend themselves against the unstoppable forces of the Liege Maximo! Old enemies fight shoulder to shoulder!

Or, to put it another way, an excuse for some black humor and the odd render or twenty. I've tried to go for a pseudo-moviesque approach, so that they can strike almost realistic poses with the minimum of parts clash. The transformations nearly work too, with the heads being the only things I've had to fudge. These are the first two out of...I have no idea how many. Expect a promoted Thundercracker, a much put-upon Magnificus/Monocle, a few Lithones, Quintessons and human battle suits, not to mention a heck of a lot of Hub troopers that may or may not be drawn heavily from the ranks of the Vehicons....

For the moment, Autobot sharpshooter Sureshot (NOT the original) and Decepticon aerospace warrior Overcast (no relation to any other version). The former is somewhat obsessed with weapons, the latter is an obsessive/depressive who really shouldn't be allowed to think too hard about his situation. They work together remarkably well....

I won't insult you be saying which is which. And, before I forget: no mass shifting here. Hope you like 'em!

wow, your modeling has vastly improved since the beginning, Librarian. Both characters look fantastic. I think that the only crits I could offer up are adding things like flaps to the wings and making the tires look less like toy wheels and closer to real rubber tires (they look too hard imo).

Asides from little things like that which can be solved mainly by observing real-life vehicles, BRAVO!

    Thanks for the comments.

Thank you and yes, he is! He's about the maximum height for 'normal' Decepticons. The Seeker-types will be slightly shorter in mech mode, slightly longer in vehicle mode.

*Bows* Ta very much. I'm looking into the tyre issue - will play about until it looks right. As for the wing flaps - they are there! I'll add some detail to highlight them.

For now, here's a WIP Hub trooper. Not a drone, incidentally.

Lots of details to added here....
