Recently, TFCC on their website have stated that the Animated Arcee action figure has been canceled. This could possibly have a great impact on other future Animated action figures. Is this really true? Has this been officially confirmed yet? Or is this just another rumour? Do you think that someday, this cancellation will be lifted in the near future?
If molds are cut, it's more than likely they will show up for sale eventually. No guarantees on appearing in a timely manner, in a color you want, or at a store you can get to though.
Only if the molds aren't made. Otherwise the figures will get through to some fans somehow (I'd kill for Arcee)
I seriously think that only Arcee and Soundwave got as far as the tooling stage - If this is the case then they may get released as a HTS exclusive. We'll find out at Botcon most likely. Don't hold your hopes up for Blackout/Rodimus - This ain't gonna happen I bet.
I have a feeling Blackout, Rodimus, Freeway Jazz, Wingblade Prime and the deluxe repaint we don't know about aren't being released. I can see Cybertron Mode Ratchet, Arcee and Electrostatic Soundwave being released though, with the moulds already being made and painted.
I really hope we see something for Arcee and Soundwave at least. And Rodimus. (wistful sigh) And now I'm going to have to put together a jet pack for Optimus.
I have never felt so disappointed in my life... Rodimus Prime was the only one I was looking forward to having... Damn you Hasbro... Damn you till beyond...
Hopefuly Unicron.com will get to cracking. They were soliciting ideas a while ago for their next upgrade kit. Most people that voted wanted a poncho for Lockdown and trash attachments for Wrekgar, but with the posibility of never seeing a Hasbro produced Wingblade Optimus, I can see them puting out a kit for the regular Voyager version with the jetpack, winged wrist gauntlets, and a Animated styled Matrix. This seems right up their alley.
