Simon Furman update his blog with little tidbits regarding Beast Wars: The Ascending #4 that is due out tomorrow (or the 10th in the UK). I like his little tease about how the end of this arc should make any Beast Wars fan happy. http://simonfurman.wordpress.com/2008/01/08/beasts-shot-4/
[BW Megatron]Yeesssssss[/BWM] Oh man I cant wait. I hope it really ties it up because there are alot of loose ends after issue 3.
There is a huge tie to Beast Machines in the Beast Wars Sourcebook #3 under Rhinox's entry. I wonder if he will use BWA4 to tie that up. Hmm.
There certainly were a lot of BM toys that were unseen in the show. I could see room for a comic series with the Battle of the Spark guys, the BM Dinobots etc.
don's last issue for transformers was ascending #3. he's moved on to other projects for now and i think the end of ascending will probably be megatron's rise. hey, maybe that's the name of the next story arc that'll end with the crash of the autobot shuttle after beast wars
Any specifics as why did he stop working on Transformers series? It is pretty unusual for an artist to leave 3 issues into a 4 issue miniseries. Best of luck to him. He was the best artist Transformers ever have (even though Dreamwave's colorists really enhanced his work far more than IDW's very muted colorists do). I hope to see his work again some day. War Within remains one of my favorite Transformers stories, and his work on G1 V3 for Dreamwave was just fantastic. Wherever he works now has a real asset in him.
Interesting, though I'm sighing at the return of Unicron, despite his inevitable return. But, I'm wondering, if he does return, how does BM Megs (who I think Furman is alluding to) deal with him (or not)?
ya why did don leave? was it ever said? I am really interested in hearing to this, I love Guido and all but why did Don leave?
