On the back of the KT Figure Collection boxes it shows that FIR(Frenzy is Red) and RIR(Rumble is Red)! I don’t mean to spark another debate, considering we all know it’s FIRRIB… But I was messing around with my boxes and took notice!
...uh. It's been acknowledged since the beginning. Only recently has Rumble is blue, Frenzy is red, been adopted by official sources. Granted, that's just for SS86 and Legacy, but it was finally done. It's always been Rumble is red, Frenzy is blue and the animation was the incorrect source of that. That said, a lot of us grew up with the cartoon, so we see them as RIBFIR. That doesn't mean it's accurate to the original toys or design, but it's our personal choice. The toon might have been an error, but they ran with it, so it's technically an official source. However you like 'em, enjoy 'em. That's the most important part.
Oh sure, we're supposed to trust a toyline that depicts the proud Fire Convoy and the noble and sensitive Gelshark as peeping toms...
Grug no see blue text. Grug say that must mean no sarcasm. Grug now ruin friendship. Grug become Geewunner.
You mean the folks who believe the error is the correct version? By the way, this mistake only happenned in the united stated, Japan got it right in the cartoon and had RIRFIB.
In my headcanon, I think the two purposefully swap names every so often to create havoc throughout the ranks and elsewhere for their own amusement.
Sanity is giving the error-laden Sunbow final say on the characters’ look rather than the original source? Pull the other one, bub.
