I was referring to Funko Pops as a whole.

I don't mind Funko Pops...provided they aren't using the boring stock body for all humans. Most Pops of real actors/people are interchangable and have zero recognizable features, which probably explains why so many people keep them in the box (aside from wishful Beanie Babies 2.0 thinking). The ones that are great are the ones that break the mold. I own the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Tom Servo, Kanegon, and Eddie from Iron Maiden's Piece of Mind album and they are all unique and distinct in their looks (aside from the big-headedness).

As for why there aren't any Transformers ones, it's probably due to Hasbro not wanting to license out the franchise to them. Either that or the complex designs of most of the characters (at least, for Funko Pops) might make them hesitant to dip their toes in.

I'd buy a complete G1 line of Gokin figures.

I like Pop. There's other companies that are putting out SD Gojira figures. Not as cheap, and highly detailed,

I own this and are getting two more. 2000 and Space Godzilla. 4532149014830_1__44496.1491529910.jpg

Be careful on who you say that to. You might offend somebody who will accuse you of being offended. :p  But in all seriousness... Never visit Mandarake. They might have what llamatron is talking about for sale. Then again the only thing I own that can be considered a "complete set" are my three Weekly Jump Pirates Club telecards. And that is because I only got the three Dragon Quest IV characters made for that series. Which makes me be guilty of being part of this "commercialized geek culture" that currently has Funko Pop! being the current "IT" product. And I am not "CLOWN-ing" around when I say that.

But I should note that my only issue with the line is more QC related than anything else. Plus when it comes to the movies I have no issues seeing them be put out for sale. I will not buy them, but I am also not against those who will.

Super nice! Deforeal, right? I seriously want to preorder their version of SD Kiriyu the moment that is announced.

    Gock?

I don’t hate them, but I definitely don’t get the appeal.

I know that they are actually making more figures!!! An Instagram account named anerdydad made a list of upcoming funko pops and one of the series on that list is Transformers. Usually leaks from funko become true 95 percent of the time and two more Hasbro properties were leaked before this being G.I.Joe and something called Glo Worm so this might happen if Hasbro is giving their properties
    The figures being this:
    Optimus Prime
    Bumblebee
    Defensor
    Megatron
    Soundwave

definitely excited for these if they are true.

I find gatekeeping the worse part of the commercialisation of geek culture. People are allowed to like what they like. You're not special, you don't have a special incite into what being a geek or nerd means.

I'm not a fan of Funko Pops, so I don't buy them. But I encourage anyone who dislikes them to find the documentary about the company. It's clear that everything they've done has come from a genuine place of love and theyve been very lucky and more successful than they ever imagined.

And where else could I have bought a Ron Swanson figure for my wife?

I'm so tired of people hating on each other. It's tiresome and played out. Enjoy what you enjoy, let others do the same and go live your lives.
