Marvel's Transformers #62 is what initially got me hooked on the character. His role in the comic after that also made me love him. The Spotlight issue, while written well, was HORRIBLY inconsistently drawn, IMO. He never looked the same in two panels. Normally Doc Bright (isn't he the one who did it?) does great art (Quantum & Woody!), but this was just bad... But he's a great character. The REASON he got a spotlight was because of his prior popularity.

In any case... I CAN'T WAIT!

as much as I want the Thunderblast Elita-1, I would say Nightbeat is a far more interesting character. Of course, I'd rather have both!

I like Nightbeat, but I'm not a club member anymore.
Luckily, I dont' like that mold, so it's all good!
I would like to have the Seacons, however. I'm still hoping Takara does a God Neptune reissue!
I'll probably order the Timelines comic. I got the last one, and I enjoyed it.

i still hope we get thunderblast as elite one eventually....and maybe some predacons too....but if we keep getting only two exclusives a year, then theres a lot of possible ideas and not a lot of possibilities of the toys actually happening....

but you know, i just hope the toys keep rockin....

Myself, I would have gone with Cybertron Red Alert/Cannonball with a new hand and head as Nightbeat.

    But this could work nicely.

just an update, nightbeats head will not be a transformable piece....so....he may be a headmaster or he may not, but he's definately not on this toy version...

I for one only grow more excited about this figure the more I think about it. Nightbeat was always awesome in the Marvel comics. And while E Hotshot suffers greatly because of Powerlinking, he's not horrible. So this is a must buy. Stuff like this is why I'm glad to have been in the club from day 1, and plan to stay in it forever. Bring on the Nightbeat figure+comic bundle!
